EAUH Conference 2006

Stockholm City Archives

The archives contain a considerable amount of information covering many centuries of Stockholm's history. Altogether, the archives fill more than 65 kilometers of shelving.

Every document has its own story to tell. Stories about how Stockholm came to be Stockholm, and stories about the people who lived and worked in the capital over the centuries.

This is where you can find the archives of the local authorities and parishes, including birth, baptismal, death and marriage registers, inventories, court protocols and police reports, scrolls from shipping offices, lists of school classes, school reports and vast quantities of beatiful drawings and maps and much more.

Visit us at Kungsklippan 6, Underground Rådhuset.
